Description | The project includes, but is not limited to renovation of an existing 2-story building plus basement with new floor layouts, seismic upgrade, upgraded MEP systems, exterior residing with new doors and windows and some site work. Engineer Estimate: The project construction cost is estimated to be in the range of $3M - $3.5M. Bidder shall commence work upon receipt of the NTP, and the date of Substantial Completion shall not exceed 180 days from the date of NTP. VHA understands current market challenges and will be flexible with issuance of a NTP to best meet the needs of the Owner and Contractor. Bidders shall begin the Work on receipt of the Notice to Proceed and shall complete the Work within the Contract Time. Work is subject to liquidated damages of $350 a day. Bid security shall be submitted with each bid in the amount of 5 percent of the bid amount. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after opening of bids. Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities and irregularities. Bidders must be properly licensed under the laws governing their respective trades and be able to obtain insurance and bonds required for the Work. A Performance Bond, a separate Labor and Material Payment Bond, and Insurance in a form acceptable to Owner will be required of the successful Bidder. Bidder to include additional insured entities as required by contract. Bidders must attend listed conference above or arrange separate time as noted. On-site parking will not be provided at the Project locale for pre-bid conferences, attendees are to park in the street. Please assemble outside the main entry door on T Street. Attendees will be required to sign a provided SafeChoice confidentiality agreement upon arrival, see Appendix I for agreement terms. The Owner reserves the right to request such documentation from other bidders as well. |
