Convert Bldg 91157 from Storage Warehouse to Testing Lab

This synopsis is to notify potential offerors of an upcoming construction project for the conversion of Building 91157 from a storage warehouse to a testing lab for the 823rd Rapid Engineering Deployable Heavy Operational Repair Squadron Engineer (RED HORSE). The overall intent involves establishing a separate laboratory space of 960 SF with standard construction methods using gypsum board on metal studs and also includes the installation and connection of exterior utilities and communications support for the new material testing laboratory. The new space will be climatically controlled and will have approved fire detection and suppression systems for the activity. The remaining warehouse space will be upgraded with extended utilities to provide water and electrical utility support in the working areas of the warehouse. An existing sanitary sewer lift station serving multiple facilities in the area will be upgraded to allow connection of the new sanitary sewer collection system serving the facility. A new potable water line, sanitary sewer line, electrical transformer and communications duct bank are required to support the laboratory and the restroom constructed in the existing facility. Demolition includes the removal of existing lift station deep well, pumps, controls and electrical service to accommodate the replacement components.
