Description

The work to be performed pro-vides for the improvement of pedestrian access along Newport Way NW at th.e intersection of the future Ring County trail-head parking lot entrance. Work includes but is not limited to road-way excavation and tree removal for a cement concrete raised inter-section, curb and gutter, ADA corn-pliant, landings, rectangular rapid. flash beacon (RRFB), pedestrian illumination and service cabinet, utility adjustments, empty conduit franchise utility trench, and sig-nage and channelization. Additional work includes con-struction of foundations and installation of a prefabricated pedestrian, bridge crossing Anti Aircraft Creek (AAC), bridge approaches, high-flow bypass inlet structure relocation, landscaping and stream buffer restoration of AA.C, and adjusting of existing utilities as needed. No bidder may withdraw their bid after the time announced for the opening, or before the award and execution of the contract, unless the award is delayed for a period exceeding sixty-five (65) days. Proposals shall be on forms included in the contract docu-ments an.d shall be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond (with an authorized surety com-pany as surety), made payable to the City of Issaquah, in an amount not less than 5% of the amount of the bid.
