Description | **As of June 8,2023 , this project has not yet been awarded. The project is expected to be awarded on June 13,2023.** The County of Amador is seeking sealed bids for the furnishing of all labor, tax, bonds, insurance, permits, premiums, shipping, transportation, services, disposal, equipment, materials, and appurtenant facilities for the replacement of the Amador County Sheriffs Department roof. Qualified bidders may acquire a bid package at the office of General Services Administration located at 12200 B Airport Road, Martell, CA 95654 (209) 223-6375. Bidders shall furnish security in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the bid, in the form of cash, a certified or cashiers check payable to the County, or a Bid Bond. The successful bidder shall be required to furnish a Performance Bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract price and, if contract price exceeds $25,000.00 dollars a Payment Bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract price. All bonds (Bid Bond, Performance Bond, and Payment Bond) must be obtained from a surety admitted under the laws of the State of California and satisfactory to the Amador County Board of Supervisors. County reserves the right to postpone the date and time for submission of bids Question Deadline 05/19/2023 at 5:00 PM PT Questions by bidders concerning discrepancies in or omissions from the Bid documents and information Anticipated Contract Starting: Tuesday, June 27, 2023 Completion- Tuesday, August 4, 2023 1. Roof Demolition: Remove the existing single ply roof assembly and gypsum cover board to the light weight concrete deck and remove from County property to an approved landfill. 2. Roof Assembly: Provide and install TPO 60 mil. fleeceback fully adhered roof assembly totaling 115 mil. Per manufactures recommendations meeting 20 year No Dollar Limit (NDL) or Total System Warranty criteria. 3. Wall & Base-Flashings: Provide and install 60 mil. TPO per manufactures recommendations meeting 20 year NDL criteria. Additionally, restoration maintenance to be used at the existing standing seam metal roof covers and metal coping located at all perimeter conditions. 4. Roofing at Mechanical Support Stanchions: Provide and install 2 inch round TPO stanchions and TPO pockets seals with urethane filler to provide required vertical clearance above roof level. 5. Roofing of VTR Pipes: Provide and install TPO boots at all VTR locations. 6. Installation of TPO Walk Pad: Provide and install 1750 L.F. of TPO walk pad with safety yellow borders at all HVAC and roof access locations. Contractor to coordinate with County Maintenance Supervisor for locations. 7. Provide Dura-Blok pipe support as needed per code for all plumbing, electrical, gas and mechanical piping. 8. Roof Drains: Roofing at roof drains per manufactures recommendations meeting 20 year NDL criteria. 9. GSM Metal Skirt Extensions: Provide and install skirt extensions at wall & base flashing, existing metal counter-flashing and metal coping conditions. 10. HVAC ducting and electrical and gas fittings: All removal of HVAC ducting and electrical and gas fittings shall be removed by qualified licensed contractors. All extensions and repairs needed for HVAC ducting and electrical and gas fittings shall be provided by qualified licensed contractors. NO splicing of any electrical extensions shall be allowed. 11. Safety: Contractor responsible for any and all required fall protection and safety equipment for employees including engineering if required. 12. Clean-up: Remove all debris from County property to the satisfaction of the County Project Manager. 13. Training: Provide 3 hour training to County Maintenance staff for cleaning, maintenance and repairs per manufactures recommendations |
