Description

The West Springfield Boys & Girls Club, the Awarding Authority, invites sealed bids from General Contractors for the West Springfield Boys & Girls Club Renovations (Phase 3) Project, 615 Main Street, West Springfield, Massachusetts, in accordance with the documents prepared by Caolo & Bieniek Associates, Inc.The work is estimated to cost $500,000.00 (including all alternates). The Contract Documents may be seen at: Nashoba Blue Inc. 433 Main Street Hudson, MA 01749 978-568-1167 Partial funding for the project is being provided by a grant from the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) through a Massachusetts Community Development Block Grant (CDBG). Wages are subject to M.G.L. c.149 44A-J & to minimum wage rates as required by M.G.L. c.l49 26 to 27H inclusive, and federal minimum wage rates pursuant to the Davis-Bacon Act, whichever pays more. Filed sub-bidders must be DCAMM certified for the trades listed below and bidders must include a current DCAMM Sub-Bidder Certificate of Eligibility and a signed DCAMM Sub-Bidder's Update Statement. 095113 - Acoustical Panel Ceiling 096519 - Resilient Tile Flooring 099100 - Painting 220000 - Plumbing 230000 - Mechanical 260000 - Electrical This deposit will be refunded for up to two sets for general bidders and for one set for sub-bidders upon return of the sets in good condition within thirty days of receipt of general bids. Otherwise the deposit shall be the property of the Awarding Authority. Additional sets may be purchased for $75.00. Bidders requesting Contract Documents to be mailed to them shall include a separate check for $40.00 per set for UPS Ground (or $65.00 per set for UPS overnight), payable to portal to cover mail handling costs The owner reserves the right to waive any informality in or to reject any or all proposals or to accept any proposal which in their opinion, is in their best interest of owner, whether or not such proposal is the lowest bid. The owner reserves the right to accept or reject the bids in any order. Bids shall be privately opened at the later date.
