2023 Roadway Improvement

The Base Contract will generally include the mill and overlay of eight Township roadways(37284SY/3565TON).The Base Contract will also include 1421LF of concrete curb replacements, 2020SF of concrete sidewalk replacement, 24LF of concrete cheek wall, 162SF truncated dome inserts 21 handicap ramps), the replacement of 16EA type C inlet tops, the replacement/grade adjustment of 7EA sanitary sewer manhole frames and 590TON leveling/scratch course. Alternate/Add-On No. 1 will include the full-width mill and overlay of a portion of Landis Road (5,174SY/495TON). The work will also include 96LF of curb replacements,100SF sidewalk replacements 10SF truncated dome inserts (1 ramp),3EA Type C inlet top replacements, 80 TON leveling/scratch course and the replacement of all pavement markings. Alternate/Add-On No. 2 will generally include the mill and overlay of the Admin Building parking area located at 1721 Valley Forge Road(4496SY/430TON).The work will also include 20TON leveling/scratch course,one traffic calming device and the replacement of all pavement markings. Alternate/Add-On No. 3 will generally include the overlay of the Firehouse parking areas and access drives located at 1721 Valley Forge Road(420 TON).The work will also include 525LF curbline/intersection driveway milling, 20TON leveling/scratch course and the replacement of all pavement markings.Alternate/Add-On No. 4 will generally include the overlay of the Public Works Facility located at 1721 Valley Forge Road (325TON).The work will also include 500LF of curbline/intersection/driveway milling, 20TON leveling/scratch course and the replacement of all pavement markings. Attachment#1 of PennDOTProposal and Contract MS-944(Pages 3A-1 to 3A-3) theaEURoeSummary of Estimated Quantities(Pages 3B-1 to 3B-4)and the aEURoeHandicap Ramp Quantities and LocationsaEUR (Pages 3C-1 and 3C-2)contained in the Proposal and Contract Section of the Contract Documents,provides the quantities for each roadway the award of the Contract and is to be submitted as part of the submission of bid. Proposals must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of 10% of the total bid amount for the work detailed in Attachment 1, including all Alternate/Add-On items. The successful bidder will be required to furnish separate bonds with corporate surety issued by companies authorized to do business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania on the prescribed forms dated the date of the Contract or separate Federal or Commonwealth chartered lending institution irrevocable letters of credit in a form accepted and approved by the Township, each equal to one hundred percent(100%)of the Contract amount, to secure(a)the faithful performance and maintenance of the Contract;and(b)the prompt payment of materials and labor.Worcester Twp reserves the right to reject any or all proposals
