Design and Construction Administration Services for Backup Electrical Power Generators for Sewer Lift Stations E-01, E-03, E-06, W-14, W-15 and Stormwater Pump Station SW-08

Provide complete Professional Engineering Consultant Services for the design of backup electrical power generators and for the construction administration for bidding and installation of the generators. The contract term will be for the duration of the design and construction phases of the project, estimated at this time for a period of two (2) year with the option to renew for one (1) additional one year period. If the Consultant believes that the project can be enhanced in any way by the addition of other tasks or the deletion of any specified tasks, such information shall be included in the proposal. The Professional Engineering Consultant shall meet with the City’s Department of Public Utilities staff to obtain background information and define the specific scope of services for the project. The Consultant shall not proceed with work on any assignment without the issuance of written authorization to proceed(s) from the City. The authorizations to proceed will stipulate the fees and time schedule for each task of the assignment. The assignment of projects will be determined solely by the City, in keeping with the City’s best interest. The types of consulting services to be performed can include, but shall not be limited to the following: 1. Project Management and Coordination 2. Site Investigation, Data Collection, Record Research 3. Electrical and Controls Engineering – Design services 4. Structural-Design Services 5. Site Civil Design Services 6. Bid and Construction Support
