2022 CDBG Cold in-place Asphalt Recycling (CIR) Street Project

Bids will be considered for recom-mendation of award at the Borough Council scheduled for 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, July 20, 2022 the second-floor Council Chambers of Borough HallSealed bids shall be marked "BIDS FOR THE 2022 STREET PROJECT". A certified check or bank draft, payable to the order the Borough of Waynesboro, or negotiable U.S. Govern-ment Bonds (at par value), or a satisfactory Bid Bond ex-ecuted by the Bidder and an acceptable surety, in amount of ten percent (10%) of the total of the bid be submitted with each bid. This project is funded by the Community Block Grant (CDBG) Fund Wages estab-lished under the Davis-Bacon Act shall apply to this con-tract. The Contract Documents contain requirements ad-dressing prevailing labor wage rates, labor standardsnon-discrimination in hiring practices, goals for and female participation, MBE, DBE and WBE participa-tion, participation by Section 3 residents and businessesand related matters. Bids may be held by the Owner for a period not-to-ex-ceed thirty (30) days from the date of opening bids, the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating qualifications of bidders prior to awarding the contract. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids to waive any informality in the bidding process.
