Description

Kane County Small Projects - Kanab Civic Center Building B, Kane County Building Kane County is requesting general contractor work to be done concurrently at two, separate County operated facilities. Kane County Small Projects Kanab Civic Center Building B Renovation Kane County Building Addition & Renovation Kane County is requesting general contractor work to be done concurrently at two, separate County operated facilities. Both facilities are in Kanab, Utah and are within one city block distance of each other. The first facility is the Kane County Building located at 76 N. Main Street. Scope of work for this building includes a 1,180 Sq. Ft. addition and major to minor renovations to existing building systems, materials, and features. Full scope for this project is outlined within included plans. Scope summary for this facility is as follows: 1. Minor addition to enlarge the existing council chambers 2. Minor addition of a conference room 3. Minor renovations of existing spaces for additions noted above 4. Renovation and finish/fixture update of existing restrooms to match new County-operated facilities (i.e. Kanab Civic Center - Building A) 5. Mechanical system replacement/upgrades 6. Repair and replacement of existing roof systems 7. Replacement of exterior doors and installation of automated security system/operation The second facility is the Kanab Civic Center Building B located at 20 N. 100 E. Scope of work for this building includes major renovations to nearly every area of the building and associated systems and a small vestibule addition. Full scope for this project is outlined within included plans. Scope summary for this facility is as follows: 1. Minor updates and new finishes of existing lobby 2. Renovation, repurposing, and improvement of existing space into multipurpose breakout room(s) 3. Renovation, repurposing, and improvement of existing janitorial room into new public restrooms 4. Renovation and improvement of existing gymnasium space 5. Renovation, repurposing, and improvement of existing stage into new orchestra room 6. Update of all applicable mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems associated with above-mentioned areas 7. Misc. repairs and improvements of existing spaces and features as outlined within supplementary construction documents 8. A minor addition of a new egress vestibule at SE corner of gymnasium 9. Repair and replacement of existing roof systems Bid Exclusions: If any questions arise concerning specific bid exclusions, contractors should respond with an RFI. Responses to RFI will be disseminated to all bidding entities. Construction Bond: A construction bond in the amount of the overall construction cost plus 20% will be required to be provided by the awarded contractor. A line item on the Bid Form has been added for the cost of the construction bond. Owner's right to reject bids: The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularity therein. Project Start & Duration: Due to the current demands on the industry, project start dates will not be specified by the County here, rather, each contractor is requested to note their earliest available start date in the Contract Bid Form. Project duration: All contractor work must be completed no later than 12 months from commencement of project. Bids will be reviewed at the Iron Rock Group office on Wednesday, July 20th, 2022, at 11:00 AM.
