Description | The work will be funded by the Town of Neversink and shall include the provision of all labor, materials and equipment necessary to complete the projects. Contractors are requested to submit one (1) total bid price for the three (3) septic systems to be replaced. The bid will be awarded by the Neversink Town Board to the lowest responsible bidder. The scope of work to be let by the Town includes the abandonment of old subsurface septic tanks, pits or cesspools where necessary; and installation of new septic tanks, absorption trench leachfields, shallow soil fill placement, connecting piping, site restoration and cleanup. The work will be periodically inspected by the town engineer. All septic systems work as indicated on the project plans shall be completed no later than December 31, 2022. The work will be subject to the prevailing wage rates established by the New York State Department of Labor. Bidders on the work will be required to comply with the President's Executive Order No. 11246. The requirements for bidders and contractors under this order, which concerns non-discrimination in employment, are explained in the contract documents. Bidders are also required to comply with the provisions of Section 290-299 of the Executive Law of the State of New York. The Town of Neversink, reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive any formality or any technicality in any proposal in the interest of the Town. Bidders on this contract are required to execute the non-collusive bidding certification required by Section 103-d of the General Municipal Law of the State of New York. |
