Description | Elevator Replacement at George Kelson Building (Sandtown Winchester) #157 - The Work consists of renovation of (1) existing building elevator: cab finishes, associated machinery, electrical and mechanical work. Location- 701 Gold Street Baltimore, MD 21217 PSC NUMBER : 30.056.22 1. Wall cutouts and fire rated closures for control and signal fixture boxes, which penetrate walls. Verify location and sizes of cutouts with Elevator SubContractor. Grout and patch as required. 2. Cutting and patching walls and floors. 3. Provide pit access ladder to comply with Elevator Code. See Drawings. 4. Provide wall cutouts for push-button stations, hall lanterns and position indicatorsor other signal fixtures. Verify locations and sizes of cutouts on Elevator SubContractor's shop drawings. Grout and patch as required. Provide wall cutouts for electrical and mechanical equipment added under this contract. Grout and patch as required. 5. Paint walls, and floor. Patch or seal all penetrations. 6. Class "ABC" fire extinguisher. 7. Provide self-closing, self-locking machine room door. Keying must be independent of any other building locks. Door shall be openable from inside without key. 8. Provide machine room ventilation and heating. Maintain minimum temperature of 65oF, maximum 90oF. Maintain maximum 90% relative humidity, noncondensing. HVAC unit may be located within the bounds of the machine room, if solely for the heating or cooling of that machine room. 9. Lighting and GFCI convenience outlets in pit and machine room. 10. Confirm the existing: Three-phase mainline copper power feeder to terminals ofelevator controller in the machine room is compliant with current National Electrical Code (N.E.C.). 11. Confirm the existing: Single-phase copper power feeder to elevator controller for car lighting and exhaust blower is compliant with current National Electrical Code. 12. Emergency telephone line to designated elevator control panel in elevator machine room. 13. Confirm the existing: Fire alarm initiating devices in each elevator lobby, and machine room to initiate firefighters' return feature is compliant with current Life Safety Codes. Provide alarm initiating signal wiring from hoistway or machine room connection point to elevator controller terminals. 14. Provide pit and machine room lighting and GFCI protected electrical outlets per Drawings. Provide adequate lighting to maintain minimum of 10 foot-candles illumination at pit floor, and 19 foot-candles illumination at machine room floor.
