Description

The Johnstown-Cambria County Airport Authority reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities the same. Each bidder must deposit with his/her proposal a bid security in an amount to at least 10% of the Base Bid of his/her Base Bid. Said security shall be in the and subject to the conditions given in Section 20 of the General Provisions. No may withdraw his/her bid within 120 days after the actual date of the opening. Successful bidders, must enter into the Agreement and furnish a Contract Bond evidence of required insurance with fifteen (15) days after notification acceptance of proposals, all as more specifically required in the Contract Documents. As predetermined by the Secretary of Labour and Industry of the Commonwealth Pennsylvania and included in the specifications and contract documents and/or thereto shall be used by the CONTRACTOR in paying labor in connection with work under this contract. All work under this contract shall be subject to the contained in Division 8 of the Project Manual. The project will prepare the area for a 25' x 18' car wash. This will include the grading, paving, and utility preparation for the area. The project area is currently a gravel pulloff with some mowed grass around the edges of the gravel. The project will include a 24' wide access road with an 18' x 20' turn around/drying area once the cars are finished inside the car wash. The car wash structure will be a 25' x 18' building. This building will have a garage door at one end to allow access of the vehicles. The building will be equipped with a central drain that feeds into the existing sanitary storm sewer located on the property. The project will increase the impervious area on the Airport so stormwater management will need implemented on the project. An infiltration trench will be constructed on site to mitigate the increase in impervious area. The roadway will be contoured to flow into the infiltration trench. The stormwater will then dispense into the existing stormwater conveyance system on site.
