Description | The City of Hughson is looking to Replace the existing back stop and dugouts at the north/east corner of Lebright Field along Charles St. Project Scope: 1) The contractor shall be responsible for the demolition and disposal of all existing structures, Including, but not limited to, the back stop, dugouts, all fencing presently aligned with the backstop and concrete. 2) All new fencing materials will be 9 ga chain link, vinyl coated, materials. All posts and hardware will be vinyl coated where possible. 3) Vertical posts will be 6" schedule 40, galvanized pipe. Cross piping supports shall be no less than 1 1/4 " schedule 40 galvanized pipe or larger. 4) The contractor shall supply and erect new backstop and dugouts aligning with the residential wall, approximately 20-feet off the wall and approximately 15-feet off and along the existing 3rd Street sidewalk. 5) The back stop will be 16-feet wide by 20-feet-tall. The backstop will have an appropriate overhang, to help control foul balls, that will merge with the first 20-foot section on each side of the fence run. 6) Coming off each side of the backstop will be a 20-foot-high fence that is 40 feet long. 7) Attached to that fencing section on each side of the diamond will be a 12-foot-high by 40-footlong section of fence that will contain 12-foot-tall, 30-foot-long by 6-foot-wide dugouts on each outside run of the diamond fence. There will be a 4-foot opening, to the field, at the home plate end and an open end at the opposite end of the dugout. The dugout will be covered with fencing material for foul ball protection. The dugout will have a 4" minimum thick concrete floor. 8) The contractor shall be responsible to provide all materials, labor and equipment needed to complete this scope. 10) The contractor shall be responsible for the protection of any materials or equipment left on site during non-working hours. 11) The contractor shall be responsible for the proper disposal of any project waste. 12) The contractor shall be responsible for any required building permits and inspections. Permit fees will be waived by the City. 13) The contractor shall have a C-13 license, provide their DIR number and proof of insurance per City requirements. 14) According to contracting law, the contractor shall provide payment and performance bonds on work totaling $25k or more. 17) The City would like this project completed by mid-November, if possible. 18) Any questions, please contact Bill Newlin at 209-617-7850 or Jose Vasquez at 209-505-3049.
