Description

The pipes under Riverside Drive are failing causing stormwater to over top the structures and road shoulder causing the shoulder to erode. The eroded soil is blocking the outlet pipe causing localized flooding on Riverside Drive. This project aims to alleviate the flooding and erosion by replacing the failing pipes and associated stormwater structures. The existing degraded 24” CMP will be replaced with 24” RCP, and the two existing inlets replaced with double-wing catch basins. The shoulder width and grading was designed to accommodate a future sidewalk project and associated clear zone. Please refer to construction plans titled “5759 Riverside Drive Drainage Improvement Project” by Columbia Engineering for more detailed information on the scope.
