Description | Cambridge Housing Authority, in its capacity as managing member, acting on behalf of Washington Elms LLC, the Owner and Awarding Authority, invites sealed bids for Renovation to Fire Damaged Dwelling Unit at 130 Harvard Street in Cambridge, Massachusetts, in accordance with the documents prepared by SOCOTEC AE Consulting, LLC. The work is estimated to cost $500,000. The project consists of: Fire damage renovation work to a 3-level apartment dwelling unit; including but not limited to selective demolition of existing interior walls and gypsum drywall finishes, ceilings, flooring abatement of asbestos containing materials, existing exterior windows, plumbing, electrical devices and lighting, and cleaning of all soot, dirt, and grime from all interior and exterior remaining surfaces of construction to remain. Replacement work incudes with new interior walls and gypsum drywall finishes, ceilings, VCT and rubber flooring, paint finishes, interior doors, cabinets and countertops, kitchen and bathroom fixtures and accessories, kitchen appliances, plumbing, electrical and lighting, and new exterior fiberglass windows, and application of exterior masonry coating. General bidders must be certified by the Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance (DCAMM) in the following category of work: General Building Construction and must submit a current DCAMM Certificate of Eligibility and a signed Update Statement (CQ3) Filed sub-bidders must be DCAMM certified for the trades listed below and bidders must include a current DCAMM Sub-Bidder Certificate of Eligibility and a signed DCAMM Sub-Bidder's Update Statement All bids are subject to M.G.L. c.149 44A-J and to minimum wage rates as required by the Secretary of Labor pursuant to the Davis-Bacon Act and included in the project specifications. Question Deadline 10/14/2022 at 12:00 PM ET Questions received after the above deadlines may not be considered by the Awarding Authority. Questions concerning this project shall be submitted via email to Amanda Whitcomb at amanda.whitcomb@socotec.us. General bids and sub-bids shall be accompanied by a bid deposit not less than five (5%) of the greatest possible bid amount and made payable to Washington Elms LLC. A 100% payment bond and a 100% performance bond will be required for the awarded contract. The Deadline for General Contractor Bidder questions has been extended from Friday October 14, 2022, at 12:00PM to Friday, October 28, 2022 at 4:00PM. |
