Washburn County Courtroom Improvements

This Contract consists of the construction of the renovation of the existing courtroom located at the Washburn County Courthouse, 10 Fourth Avenue, Shell Lake, WI 54871. The project will consist of building construction as described in the bidding documents. Each bid shall be accompanied by the Bidder's Bond or Certified Check in the amount equal to at least 10 percent of the amount of the total bid, which shall be forfeited to Washburn County in the event the successful bidder fails to enter into a Contract. Owner is exempt from state sales taxes on materials and equipment to be incorporated in the Work. Said taxes shall not be included in the Bid. Bidders may be requested to submit "Contractor's Qualification Statement." Bidders will be required to provide performance and payment bonds of 100 percent of bid amount. Washburn County reserves the right to retain the deposits of the three (3) lowest bidders for a period not to exceed 60 days after the date and time set for the opening of bids. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after the date and time set for the opening of bids. Washburn County reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive irregularities and informalities therein and to award the Contract deemed most advantageous to the County.
