Description | The project consists of the following main project elements: (a) Replacement of the existing polypropylene liners in the two existing polishing ponds. This work includes site preparation, soil erosion and sediment control measures, bypass pumping/maintenance of plant operations, sludge removal, disposal and cleaning, replacement of the existing 45 mil reinforced polypropylene geomembrane and the original liner below the existing 45 mil liner, with a new 45 mil reinforced polyethylene liner, liner subgrade preparation, dewatering polishing pond slope restoration, replacement of geotextile drainage composite for venting, fence replacement, concrete repair and waterproofing, and other appurtenant work as required by the contract drawings and specifications. Bid Security in the amount of ten percent (I0%) of the bid or $20,000.00, whichever is less, must accompany each Bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Nondiscrimination in Employment Contracts for work under this Bid will obligate the contractors and subcontractors not to discriminate in employment practices. An Affirmative Action Program is also required under New Jersey P.L. 1945, C.169, as amended by P.L. 1975, C.127. All bids shall remain irrevocable for sixty (60) days after the actual date of the opening thereof unless delayed due to the required approval of a government agency.
