Refuse Hideaway Landfill Source Control Systems Repairs and Upgrades

This contract is for the repairs and upgrades necessary to restore the following source control systems: • Landfill Final Cover – including vegetation removal, filling, seeding, and fence installation. • Stormwater Control – including removal of sediment from the sedimentation basin, repair of the sedimentation basin, installation of an emergency overflow spillway, repair of the western drainage ditch, vegetation removal, and fence installation. • Leachate Extraction System – including procurement, installation, and start-up of equipment as specified from extraction pumps to control equipment. • Landfill Gas Extraction System – including procurement, installation, and start-up of equipment as specified from extraction pumps to control equipment to bring landfill gas to a common vent stack. The construction schedule to complete primary field work under this contract shall be for approximately 6 weeks and may only be extended through a mutual agreement between the Department and the Contractor.
