Professional Engineering Continuing Services

Consultants for a wide range of services in connection with the Boca Grande Causeway, and all improvements thereto. Services required include, but not limited to: 1. Review and advise on Swing Bridge mechanical issues/questions 2. Review and advise on roadway issues/questions. 3. Advise on creation of detailed disaster plan and provide consultation in the event of an emergency. 4. Confer with and advise the Board of Supervisors and Executive Director on engineering matters, render engineering opinions, and attend Board Meetings to provide presentations when requested. 5. Review and comment on Bridge load rating. 6. Assist in preparing Request for proposal (RFP)/Scope of Services. 7. Prepare advertisement drafts. 8. Prepare construction cost estimates. 9. Review and evaluate construction bids. 10. Estimate consultant fees. 11. Establish construction contract time for projects. 12. Prepare environmental impact assessments. 13. Provide SWFWMD mandated drainage inspections. 14. Oversee consultant utility coordination efforts. 15. Oversee permit and agency coordination. 16. Perform other engineering services as needed.
