Description | As of August 28, 2023, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline or award has not yet been established. The Project includes the following Work: Mechanical, electrical and structural improvements to the existing Clayton-to-Raleigh Pump Station to increase its capacity. The Town of Clayton is requesting proposals to provide new submersible wastewater pumps and variable frequency drives to replace existing equipment at the existing Clayton-Raleigh/Neuse 2 Pump Station (CRPS), to increase overall wastewater conveyance capacity of this facility. The objective of this Request for Proposals (RFP) is to select a pump and variable frequency drive (VFD) Supplier to provide the equipment and to have the selected Equipment Supplier coordinate with the Engineer during the design of the project. The pump and VFD equipment will be purchased by the General Contractor when the project is constructed, tentatively scheduled for Fall 2023. The Town of Clayton (Town) utilizes the Clayton-to-Raleigh Pump Station to convey a portion of the Town's raw wastewater flow to the City of Raleigh's Neuse River Resource Recovery Facility (NRRRF). The Neuse 2 Pump Station is currently configured to pump wastewater from this site to the Town of Clayton's Little Creek Water Reclamation Facility (LCWRF). These two pump stations are located adjacent to one another onthe same site. A cross-connection is in place so either pump station could pump to either destination. Flow is rarely conveyed to the LCWRF. Currently, the Town has capacity to pump 2.3 million gallons per day (MGD) ofwastewater to the NRRRF. Due to anticipated increases in tributary flow, Clayton desires to increase the amount offlow to be pumped to the NRRRF to 4.5 MGD. This project will include replacement ofthe existing pumps, VFD's and necessary appurtenances. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. |
