Storm Water Pipe

Pipe shall be high density polyethylene pipe with a corrugated exterior and smooth interior for pipe size of 12 to 42 inches (inside diameter) and a profile wall with a smooth interior and exterior for 48 inch inside diameter. Pipe must be constructed from virgin Polyethylene compounds that conform with requirements of cell class 335420C as defined and described in ASTM D3350. The integrally formed smooth waterway shall provide a Mannings “n” value of 0.012.Corrugations for pipe size 4 to 42 inches shall be annular.All pipe and fittings shall conform to AASHTO M294-98 “type S or D” which describes pipe with a smooth waterway.Joints shall consist of a bell and spigot type joint with an O-ring rubber gasket meeting ASTM F477 and placed on the spigot end. At least two corrugations must insert into the bell end.Pipe shall comply with the requirements for test methods, dimensions and markings found in ASHTO Designations M252 and M294
