Description | Bid Intent Not Available Question Acceptance Deadline 03/29/2023 12:00 PM EDT Questions are submitted online Yes TheTown of Guilderland will accept sealed proposals for the following Project: DESIGN-BUILD SERVICES FOR TOWN HALL HVAC EQUIPMENT REPLACEMENTS FOR THE TOWN OF GUILDERLAND: 5209 Western Turnpike, Guilderland, NY 12084 It is the intent of the Town of Guilderland to identify a qualified firm to provide design and construction services, including engineering, architecture, and construction services, to design and construct HVAC equipment replacements in the Town of Guilderland's Town Hall building. The selected firm will also work in close coordination with representatives from the Town. CONTRACTOR'S SCOPE OF WORK The Guilderland Town Hall is a two-story, 22,000+/-square foot brick building located at 5209 Western Turnpike in Guilderland, New York 12084. The Town Hall was constructed circa 1988 as an addition to an existing building. The Town Hall comprises the entire addition and consists of offices, meeting rooms, conference rooms, a lobby and other office-type spaces. The HVAC systems currently serving the Town Hall (addition only) shall be replaced as part of this contract. The Town Hall currently utilizes a Variable Air Volume (VAV) HVAC system. There are two (2) packaged rooftop air handling unit (AHUs) serving the entire Town Hall. The AHUs are tagged AHU-1 and AHU-2. AHU-1 handles the first floor and AHU-2 handles the second floor. Downstream of the AHUs are a total of thirty-two (32) VAV Boxes. Seventeen (17) VAV Boxes are associated with AHU-1 and fifteen (15) VAV Boxes are associated with AHU-2. Each VAV Box is equipped with a hot water reheat coil. Hydronic hot water is produced from the Town Hall's boiler plant. The boiler plant is located in the first floor mechanical/electrical room. The boiler plant is made up of four (4), gas-fired boilers. Replacement of four (4) boilers shall be included in Add Alternate No. 1. Air Handling Units (AHUs) - The CONTRACTOR shall remove the two (2) existing rooftop AHUs and provide new AHUs in the same locations. The CONTRACTOR shall provide curb adapters as necessary. The CONTRACTOR shall provide all necessary structural analysis to ensure the existing building structure is of sufficient capacity to support the new AHUs. CONTRACTOR shall make all necessary structural revisions to accommodate the new work. CONTRACTOR shall size and select the new AHUs to meet the current building heating, cooling and ventilation loads. CONTRACTOR shall ensure the new AHUs meet the requirements of the 2020 Mechanical Code of New York State and the 2020 Energy Conservation Construction Code of New York State. The CONTRACTOR shall provide electrical power to the AHUs meeting all NEC requirements. The CONTRACTOR shall provide direct digital control (DDC) for the AHUs and integrate to the new building automation system (BAS). The CONTRACTOR shall extend hydronic hot water to the AHUs as required. The CONTRACTOR shall provide all necessary modulating DDC (2-way) control valves. |
