Asphalt Placing Operations

Envelopes containing the bids must be sealed, addressed to Josh Eldridge, Clerk of the Board, 2915 Canty Street, Suite R, Pascagoula, MS 39567 and stated on the outside of the envelope designated as Bid; for the following described, to wit: ASPHALT PLACING OPERATIONS The County reserves the right to cancel the contract at any time for cause or convenience when the interest of Jackson County requires such, with a thirty (30) day written notice. Vendor may not unilaterally cancel this contract except for no-payment by the County. Contractors have the option of submitting their bids sealed in an envelope or electronically through website. If sealed envelope bid is submitted by mail, the post office address of the Chancery Clerk is P.O. Box 998, Pascagoula, MS 39568. Bids may be delivered to Josh Eldridge, Chancery Clerk, c/o Land Records Department, 2915 Canty Street, Suite R, Pascagoula, MS 39567. All bid envelopes should contain the bidder's name and mailing address on the outside of the envelope and specify the name of the bid item. When submitting an electronic bid, the bid must be submitted in "pdf' format and shall contain the same information and forms as required for the paper bids. Electronic bids must be secured with a bid bond. When submitting a bid electronically, the authorized signature may be a hand-written blue ink signature or be an electronic signature. When bids are submitted electronically, the requirement for including a certificate of responsibility, or statement that the bid enclosed does not exceed Fifty Thousand Dollars ($50,000.00), on the exterior of the bid envelope shall be deemed in compliance by including the same information as an attachment with the electronic bid submittal. For an electronic bid, documents can be viewed or downloaded from website. Contactors will be required to register FREE with Plan House at website to submit an electronic bid. All bids must be on file with JOSH ELDRIDGE, CLERK OF THE BOARD, 2915 Canty Street, Suite R, Pascagoula, MS 39567 on or prior to the hour and date first mentioned above and must be marked and sealed. The Board of Supervisors reserves the right to reject any or all bids received and to award said bid in the best interest of the County.
