Road Signs

Hurricane Ian’s high sustained winds and/or flying debris destroyed approximately 429 road signs and associated posts and brackets town wide. Missing road signs pose an immediate threat to lives and safety of residents, first responders, contractors, etc. The Town of Fort Myers Beach seeks to contract with a qualified Contractor(s) to manufacture and /or install road signs as identified on Exhibit I and Exhibit II. The scope is further defined and detailed within the Plans, Technical Specifications and General Conditions associated with this project. The contractor is responsible for reviewing all documentation associated with this project. All work performed shall follow all Federal, State, Local, OSHA and department mandated regulations and specifications for associated work. Exhibit I includes the specs of the street signs as well as the street sign names and types. Exhibit II represents the locations of the signs. Signs should be placed three (3) feet from the sidewalk. BIDDERS can bid on either manufacturing of street signs, installation of street signs, or both. The CONTRACTOR agrees to perform all the work necessary to complete all items listed below. The OWNER has the right to accept or reject any or all part of a submitted bid. This project requires the Contractor to be licensed and insured in the State of Florida. The TOWN will not require a Bid Bond and a Public Construction Bond on this project. Project documents and specifications can be viewed at the office of Town Hall, Town of Fort Myers Beach. The Town of Fort Myers Beach reserves the right, in its sole judgment in the best interest of the Town of Fort Myers Beach, to waive any informalities in any bids; to make award(s) including multiple awards; to waive any non-substantive, in Town’s sole judgment, irregularity or technicality in bids received, and/or to reject any or all bids. A Certified Check or a Cashier's Check, in a stated dollar amount of not less than five percent (5%) of Bidder’s total bid, including alternates if applicable. Any Certified Checks or Cashier Checks submitted in lieu of a Bid Bond shall be drawn on a solvent bank or trust company, made payable to Town of Fort Myers Beach and shall have all necessary documentary revenue stamps attached Bid Letting May 12, 2023
