Description | Set Aside: HUBZone. The piping at the O'Neill Federal Building is aged and deteriorating and is in dire need of repair and/or replacement. This is the final project in a series of projects being executed to address the hydronic piping deficiencies at the O'Neill Federal Building. This final project focuses on the north side piping and HVAC system deficiencies that must be addressed according to seasonal temperatures to minimize impact to the building systems and GSA's Customers. The project will include, but is not limited to piping risers, fan coil branch piping, valving, insulation, and Exterior Insulated Finish Systems (EIFS). All items to be installed/upgraded will be in accordance with the approved design and in compliance with established building construction standards. All repair items and supplies are standard commercial items and there are no brand name considerations. The actual construction work shall be performed between the end of one cooling season and the beginning of the next cooling season. The selected contractor will need to be capable of performing all types of construction, not just piping/plumbing. They will need to be capable of performing work both at night and during the day, depending on tenant preferences. The contractor should be capable of performing the work in an occupied building. The contractor shall be capable of staffing the project with employees that can be cleared in a reasonable time through GSA's HSPD-12 process. The Government anticipates award of the contract on or about July 15, 2019 with a contract completion date of April 30, 2020. |
