Shoreline Management Shoreline Substantial Development

Notice is hereby given that Mark Kushino, Waterfront Construction, on behalf of RJHP, LLC has filed an application for a Shoreline Substantial Development Permit to demolish the existing dock and remove 21 timber piles. Build a new pier by driving 24 new steel piles, repairing 80 lineal feet of rock bulkhead, and installing a new coved beach. All hardware will be galvanized steel, molded plastic decking with more than 40% light passthrough will be made by SunWalk, and the new wood material will be treated with Chemonite (ACZA). A new boat lift and two new personal water craft lifts will be installed. Proposed plantings consist of two (2) snowberry trees, one (1) douglas fir, one (1) mock orange, and one (1) shore pine and one (1) pacific madrone to remain. Said development is proposed to be within 200' of Lake Washington or its associated wetlands. The Town of Hunts Point issued a MITIGATED DETERMINATION OF NON-SIGNIFICANCE (MDNS) under the State Environment policy Act Rules (Chapter 197-11 WAC) for the above project on June 22, 2023. After review of a completed environmental checklist and other information on file with the Town, the Town of Hunts Point determined that this proposal will not have a probable significant adverse impact on the environment.
