Rehabilitation of Ponus Ridge Road Bridge Over Collins Pond - Town of New Canaan

As of September 12, 2023, a general contractor has been awarded. This project is under construction and is expected to be completed by End of December 2023. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS REHABILITATION OF PONUS RIDGE ROAD BRIDGE OVER COLLINS POND The town of New Canaan seeks to engage a Consulting Engineering Firm to provide Inspection Services anticipated to begin in spring of 2023 for the following transportation project: REHABILITATION OF PONUS RIDGE ROAD BRIDGE OVER COLLINS POND BRIDGE The construction cost is expected to be in the range of $800,000 - $1,100,000. The Consulting Engineer will be evaluated and selected based on technical competence, the capacity and capability to perform the work within the time allotted, past record of performance, and knowledge of Federal, State and Town of New Canaan procedures, approximately weighted in descending order of importance. The construction inspection fee will be negotiated on a cost plus basis. Firms responding to this request should be of adequate size and sufficiently staffed to perform the assignment described above. The selected firm must meet all Town of New Canaan, State and Federal affirmative action and equal employment opportunity practices. A letter of interest, together with general information on the firm and proposed sub consultants, the firm's brochure, current Federal GSA Form 330, experience of the firms, and a resume of key personnel should be addressed to Tiger Mann, Director of Public Works, 77 Main Street, New Canaan, CT 06840. Additionally, all interested firms must submit a detailed statement including the organizational structure under which the firm proposes to conduct business. Proposed sub consultants should be clearly identified. The relationship to any "parent" firm or subsidiary firm, with any of the parties concerned, must be clearly defined. Project personnel will be required to have the experience for each classification specified in section 1-12 of CTDOT's Municipal Manual.
