Description

The Natural Resource Conservation Service (NRCS) Florida, Plant Materials Center (PMC) operates a solid-set sprinkler irrigation system that is used to irrigate a total of 8 zones ranging in size from 2 to 4 areas. An existing well and an electric motor-driven turbine pump provides the irrigation water on demand. As of this writing, the pumping plant is not operable due to malfunctioning electric motor. It is not known if the pump head/bowl assembly is also damaged and in need of repair. The existing pump is a turbine Goulds 10 RJLO - 9 stage turbine pump with one bowl assy., 6'x 16-1/2" discharge head, 120' of 6"x 1-3/16" column, and 416 s.s. shaft, 5' top and bottom section, 6"x 10' suction pipe, 6" female cone strainer. The NRCS is seeking a diagnostic on the turbine pump.
