Description

The primary purpose of this Request for Proposals (RFP) is to obtain quotations from qualified persons to partner with Battle Creek Public Schools (BCPS) for the planning, installation or transformation, and post-install support of 12 monument signs that incorporate an electronic message center (EMC) at several locations throughout our District. All such requests must be made in writing via email. The school District will attempt to provide a written response to all written Requests for Clarification within five (5) business days after the receipt of such request. The School District will not respond to any Request for Clarification received after January 31st. Requests for Clarification and inquiries must be made via email and directed to [RMiller2@battle-creek.k12.mi.us]. No response will be made to any oral questions. Bid security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the base bid is required in the form of a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond payable to Battle Creek Public Schools. The Contractor shall furnish bonds covering faithful performance of the Contract and payment of obligations arising thereunder. Bonds may be obtained through the Contractor's usual source and the cost thereof shall be included in the Contract Sum. The amount of each bond shall be equal to 100% of the Contract Sum. The Contractor shall deliver the required bonds not later than three days following the date the Agreement is entered into, or if the work is to be commenced prior thereto in response to a Letter of Intent, the Contractor shall, prior to the commencement of the work, submit evidence satisfactory to the Owner that such bonds will be furnished. Include the costs of Payment Bonds and Performance Bonds in the base bid if the bid is over $50,000 Estimated Project Start Date April 10, 2023 Preferred Project Completion Date August 10, 2023 The undersigned understands that the District reserves the right to accept or reject in whole or in part any and all Proposals, to waive informalities and irregularities therein, and to award the Contract to other than the Contractor(s) submitting the best financial Proposal (low bidder) and to award the Contract at the District's sole and absolute discretion
