Standby Generator

Provide and install a Kohler 38RCLB generator, single phase, 120/240v propane fueled generator or equal with a 200A service entrance rated transfer switch and surge protector. Provide and install 60A load shed module (for building siren) Provide and install concrete base, conduits, wiring, terminations, and testing for a complete and usable system. The concrete base shall be a 7-inch poured and reinforced concrete pad at last 5ft. from the building per NFPA 37 Standard for Stationary Combustion Engine Installation All exterior wiring shall be in PVC or flexible liquid tight conduit, and all power wiring shall be copper. Neutral and ground wiring shall be separated and unbonded in the electrical panel and a third-party electrical inspection shall be provided by a licensed electrical inspector. Provide and install gas connections from generator and tie into existing propane lines. (owner shall request larger tank from propane supplier) All gas plumbing shall be black iron pipe and painted medium grey. A flexible gas whip shall be installed at the generator for vibration isolation, and all gas work shall be in accordance with NFPA 54 National Fuel Gas Code standards and NFPA 58 National Liquefied Petroleum Gas Code standards.
