Description

This project shall retrofit the Smouses Mill Pumping station with a new variable speed packaged pumping system. The two (2) existing booster pumps, variable frequency drives and pump controls shall be replaced with a new system. The existing piping shall be reconfigured to improve access around the building. Three (3) hydropneumatics tanks will be removed and replaced with one (1) tank with a bottom port accessible bladder. An automatic transfer switch and a diesel generator shall be provided for emergency power. The project shall also furnish a variable frequency drive bypass, pressure sustaining valve, surge relief valve, new backflow preventer and new magnetic flow meter.
