NO CM221PMF117643 the City is seeking a qualified firm to provide all plant, labor, superintendence, materials, tools, equipment, supplies, incidentals, and other ancillary items necessary, as identified in these Contract Documents, in order to complete the Streets of Good Repair (SGR) Paving Projects 2022, to the limits shown on the drawings and in accordance with all specification, terms, conditions, and drawings herein. This project is funded with Local, State, and Federal monies. Only VDOT prequalified contractors may bid on this project. All laws/regulations/procedures applicable to State purchasing will apply. There are five (5) locations included with this project. Work will consist of asphalt milling, asphalt pavement overlay, striping, rumble strips, mobilization, maintenance of traffic, and inlaid pavement markers. Projects are as follows o UPC 119245 - US Route 13 Southbound lanes from Route 58 Bypass bridge adjacent to US 13 off-ramp south to approximately 0.4 mile south of Route 58 Bypass centerline for a total distance of approximately 0.76 miles - 0.6 miles of 16' wide ramp plus paved shoulders, 0.16 miles of two lane section with paved shoulders o UPC 119248 - US Route 13 Southbound lanes from 0.4 miles south of Route 58 bypass centerline to existing bridge over the railroad for a total distance of approximately 1.04 miles - 0.91 miles of two lane section with paved shoulders, 0.13 miles of three lane section with paved shoulders o UPC 119254 - US Route 13 Southbound lanes from bridge over the railroad to the south ending at the interchange ramps headed to Carolina Road for a total distance of approximately 1.1 miles - two lane section with paved shoulders o UPC 119240 - US 460 (Pruden Blvd) from the northern entrance to Nansemond Suffolk Academy to General Earley Drive for a total distance of approximately 0.55 miles - 5 lane section for 0.45 miles and 4 lane section for 0.1 miles o UPC 119320 - US 460 (Pruden Blvd) from the northern entrance to Nansemond Suffolk Academy to Woodlawn Drive for a total distance of approximately 1.0 miles - 0.28 miles of 4 lane section and 0.72 miles of 5 lane section All work shall be completed in accordance with AASHTO's 2018 Green Book, the 2009 MUTCD (Revisions 1 & 2, dated May 2012), Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) Road and Bridge Specifications dated 2020, Virginia Work Area Protection Manual Revision 2.1 dated November 1, 2020, the City of Suffolk's Department of Public Utilities Public Facilities Manual, and the City of Suffolk Special Provision - Paving Operations. In compliance with this Invitation for Bid, and subject to all the conditions thereof, the bidder will, if this bid is accepted within ninety (90) calendar days from the date of the opening, agree to furnish any or all of the items and/or services upon which prices are quoted, at the price set opposite each item, to be delivered at the time and place specified herein.
