Description

All bid proposals offered must be accompanied by a bid bond in an amount not be less than Ten Percent (10%) of the total amount of the bid or a cashier's check or certified check, made payable to the Order of the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Forest View and in an amount not less than Ten Percent (10%) of the total amount of the bid, as a guarantee that if the bid proposal is accepted, a contract will be entered into and the performance of the contract properly secured. No bid proposal shall be considered unless accompanied by such bid bondor check. A performance bond and a payment bond, each in the amount of One Hundred Percent (100%) of the contract price and with a corporate surety approved by the Village of Forest View, will be required from the successful bidder to guarantee the full performance of the contract. The Contractor andSubcontractor shall comply with all regulations issued pursuant to Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS 130), and other applicable Federal Laws and regulations pertaining to labor standards. The Village of Forest View reserves the rights to determine the lowest, responsive, responsible bidder, to waive irregularities, and to reject any or all bid proposals. The improvements to be constructed as part of this project are located along the joint fee strip north of the railroad tracks between the south end of the 4600 blocks of Clinton Avenue and Kenilworth Avenue in the Village of Forest View. This improvement consists of the installation of 8" HDPE water main through the static pipe bursting method to replace a deteriorated 6" cast iron water main. The new HDPE water main will be connected to the existing water main with PVC pipe. Also included in this work is the removal and replacement of minor combination concrete curb and gutter, driveways, sidewalks, pavement patching, adjustment to utility structures, and all other appurtenant work necessary to restore disturbed areas
