Description

PREQUALIFICATION REQUIRED IN CLASS 25 - Roofing FOR $1,500,000. Prequalification applications due at least ten (10) days prior to the bids due date. The City encourages bidding by COBID certified firms and will assist such firms to understand and participate in the formal bidding processes. CONSTRUCTION On all construction projects the successful bidder shall be required to certify that he/she is in compliance with ORS 279C.800 to 279C.870 or the Davis Bacon Act, 40 USC 3141 to 3148 relative to prevailing wage rates. On projects where bidders are required to be prequalified, the bidder must be prequalified by Procurement Services in the stated category for an amount equal to the amount shown in the project description in this advertisement. Additional prequalification requirements may be described in the project specifications. The Work of Project is defined by the Contract Documents and consists of the following: 1. Project Overview: This project includes the replacement of the existing roof membrane system and inspection of existing conditions for damage, with repairs to be made as needed. This includes both the 1900 Bldg Tower Roof and the Penthouse Roof above the City Tower at 1900 SW 4 th Avenue. Additional repair work includes repair of existing stucco work at exterior walls and parapets and repairs to existing sheet metal flashing and trim. Provide new safety modifications including but not limited to new ladders, ladder cages, bird deterrent at mechanical penthouse, additional Safety T-offs and roof walk off pads as indicated. Selective demolition work includes salvaging existing mechanical unit condenser to be reused and set back in place. 2. NOTE: The City lower roof at the same address and immediately adjacent to the City Tower to the north, was replaced in 2022 as a part of the PSU FAB Building Roof replacement project, thus is not included. 3. The Contractor will be required to ensure the execution of work outlined in the contract documents does not disrupt the ongoing, daily operations of the various occupants of the 1900 Bldg., the adjacent PSU buildings, and public moving in and around the building and adjacent facilities. The contractor shall also use due diligence to complete the project in a timely manner.
