Description

The proposed project will create the new Mount Rainier Potts Hall Welcome Center ("the Project"). The Project consists of a new double-height lobby addition to City Hall, the renovation of the existing adjacent 2-story Potts Hall, and a connection to City Hall. The proposed lobby addition will be located between the existing Potts Hall building and the existing City Hall building. Please see the attached Construction Drawings, Construction Manual Part 1, and Construction Manual Part 2, all of which are material parts of the contract to be awarded. Questions should be sent to hgoldstein@sgarchitects.com and citymanager@mountrainiermd.org Subject: Questions Mount Rainier Potts Hall Welcome Center by Thursday, August 25, and responses will be posted by Thursday, September 1, 2022. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond in the full amount of the Contract. The successful Bidder must agree to commence the work on a date to be specified in a written "Notice to Proceed" from the city and substantially complete the project within 395 calendar days from commencement. Bidder must also agree to pay as liquidated damages, the sum of one thousand dollars ($1,000.00) per calendar day for each consecutive calendar day beyond the date of substantial completion.
