Description 1. Wannamaker County Park - Whirlin Waters, New Waterpark Attraction, General Contracting and new pool work. Wannamaker County Park, Whirlin' Waters: General Project Description: Addition of two new raft ride water slides within the existing 15 acres water park. The raft rides are manufactured and installed by WhiteWater West Industries, Ltd., and include a new ride start tower with start tub platform and stairs. Tower structure and stairs are supported by a combination of steel and concrete supports with concrete foundations. The raft rides terminate into a new reinforced concrete plunge pool structure. Pool structure is sized to include two future inner tube slide additions. A new pool mechanical and filtration system will be installed in a nearby existing mechanical building. The ride flow will be provided by new vertical turbine pumps and piping installed in a concrete collector tank connected to the back of the pool. This work includes site work to tie new attraction to existing storm water system, grading and concrete pool decking and sidewalks to integrate features into existing park. Specific elements of work include: 1. Site work including but not limited to tree removal, grading, drainage and landscaping 2. Concrete form work, flat work and precisely placed foundations for water ride supports 3. Electrical and Plumbing associated with water slide and pool mechanics 4. Construction of plunge pool at the termination of multiple water slides. 5. Finishing site with landscaping Construction Costs: $1,500,000 to $2,000,000. 2. James Island County Park - Splash Zone, Replace Interactive Water Play Structure, General Contracting and repair/re-surface pool work. James Island County Park, Splash Zone: General Project Description: This is the addition of new multi-level water play structure, manufactured and installed by Vortex USA Inc., to the existing waterpark. The structure replaces an existing play structure that will be removed by the Owner prior to construction, leaving pipes and play structure supports cut at 12" above the existing pool surface for removal by the General Contractor. The structure shall be installed inside the existing Activity Pool at the Splash Zone Waterpark. The pool will be modified as needed for the structure installation including removal of reinforced concrete pool floor, removal of the existing structure's reinforced concrete foundations, removal and modification of existing filtration piping, removal and modification of existing play structure supply piping, removal and/or modifications and/or replacement of existing ride supply turbine pumps, removal and replacement of all pool plaster and tile finishes. The play structure shall be supported by a combination of thickened reinforced concrete pool floor slab and underground reinforced concrete foundations. The feature addition also includes several ground mounted water spray features. The existing mechanical and filtration system will be reused for this new feature with modifications as required and shown in the contract drawings. Contractor shall complete all work inside the existing waterpark using care to preserve and protect the surrounding existing park elements, including concrete pool decks, sidewalks, adjacent water park features, landscaping, and buildings. 1. Specific elements of work include: 2. Partial demolition of existing pool and water pipes. 3. Concrete flat work and precisely placed foundations for water play structure supports 4. Electrical and Plumbing associated with water play and pool mechanics 5. Raising pool surface, resurfacing and retiling existing pool 6. Returning site to pre-site conditions. Construction Costs: $400,000 to $600,000.
