Description

As of February 16, 2024, the project has been awarded, however, a timeline for construction has not been confirmed. The Project Generally Consists of: the Installation of Approximately 3,600 Lf of 12'' Water Line in the Charles Street/broad Street Area of Clyde, Including a Sub-aqueous Crossing of the Pigeon River, and All Necessary Accessories and Appurtenances as Detailed in the Plans and Specification. The amount of the bid bond shall be equal to five (5) percent of the total of the bid. Bidders must comply with the requirements of the State of North Carolina and be appropriately licensed as a Co180ntractor as provided in General Statutes Chapter 87. See NCDWIDWI MBE/DBE Special Conditions Package and Supplementary Conditions for additional bidding information and requirements. Provisions for liquidated damages, if any, for failure to timely attain a Milestone, Substantial Completion, or completion of the Work in readiness for final payment, are set forth in the Agreement. Upon execution and delivery of the Contract and the delivery of the required Performance and Payment Bonds and insurance certificates and policies by the Contractor to the Owner, the Contractor will be notified to proceed with the work of the Contract. The work of the Contract shall be commenced within ten (10) days following such notification or as otherwise specified in the Notice to Proceed. Bidder agrees that the Work will be substantially complete within 150 calendar days after the date when the Contract Times commence to run as provided in the Modified General Conditions, and will be completed and ready for final payment in accordance with the Modified General Conditions within 180 calendar days after the date when the Contract Times commence to run.
