RFQ Engineering - Val Vista Drive Improvements (Us 60 to Pueblo Avenue)

As of November 22, 2022, this project is in the design phase. Information regarding the design firm has not been disclosed. Although a firm timeline for construction has not been determined, construction is not expected to start prior to summer of 2023. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: The City of Mesa is seeking a qualified consulting firm, or team, to provide complete design services for the Val Vista Drive Improvements (US 60 to Pueblo Avenue). The design services will include preparing a Design Concept Report up to Final Construction Documents. The services may also include providing assistance to the City during construction. Roadway improvements will include the following: Safety upgrades, such as bicycle lanes, sidewalks improvements, and ADA compliance. Drainage improvements such as new storm drain, catch basins Reconstruction of the existing pavement section New pavement due to widening New curb and gutter Removal and replacement of existing driveways along Val Vista Drive New signage and striping Landscaping improvements Utility Relocations (Both City and Non-City Utilities) Traffic Signal Modifications at three (3) intersections that include Val Vista Drive / Hampton Avenue, Val Vista Drive / Southern Avenue, Val Vista Drive / Pueblo Avenue. Roadway lighting (New and Relocated streetlights) City owned Gas Line System Improvements that may include the replacement of high pressure valves, anode installation at regular intervals, replacement of steel pipe segments (with PE) on the IP system within the scope of the project, possible replacement of black-caps on tees Other miscellaneous improvements All interested firms are encouraged to attend the Pre-Submittal Conference since City staff will not be available for meetings or to respond to individual inquiries regarding the project outside of this Pre-Submittal conference. In addition, meeting minutes or any other information will not be posted from the Pre-Submittal Conference.
