Description

The scope of work consists of the following: reconstruct approx. 235 feet of the alley between Main St and Eddy St located west of Park Dr; reconstruct the approx. 515 feet alley on the north side of Main St and the west side of Adams St that connects the two streets; resurface the Village owned parking lot on the west side of Oak St at the alley south of Main St; repairing damaged pavement sections of Oak St just south of Main St; and perform reconstruction and resurfacing improvements on approx. 170 feet of asphalt driveway serving Basic Park at Adams St. The work involves an estimated 430 CY of excavation, 1250 SY of subgrade compaction, 1524 SY of pavement planing, 170 SY of asphalt pavement repairs, 277 CY of 304 stone base, 79 CY of intermediate course asphalt, 117 CY of surface course asphalt, 31.3 SY of concrete approaches, and related stone berm, scratch course, curb and sidewalk improvements, and restoration items. The estimated project cost is $198,750.00. The contract documents, including plans and specifications, are on file at the office of the Village of Luckey. Bidders must order documents direct from Becker Impressions in order to be placed on the Engineers official list of planholders. Bids will only be accepted from bidders listed on the Engineers official list of planholders. The Engineer for the project is TD Engineering, LLC, 3909 Woodmont Rd, Toledo, OH 43613, Telephone 419-265-2400. All bids must be signed and submitted on the blanks which are bound in the bid documents or copies thereof. All bids must be enclosed in a sealed envelope marked LUCKEY 2023 STREET IMPROVEMENTS and addressed to the Village of Luckey, 226 Main Street, P.O. Box 384, Luckey, Ohio 43443. A bid guarantee instrument must be submitted with the bid. The bid guarantee instrument shall be in the form of a Bid Guarantee and Contract Bond for the FULL AMOUNT of the bid OR a certified check, cashiers check, or irrevocable letter of credit for an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the bid in accordance with Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code. The bid guarantee shall be made payable to the Village of Luckey, Ohio, and is to be held as a guarantee that in the event the bid is accepted, and a contract is awarded to the BIDDER, the contract will be duly executed, and its performance properly secured. Bid security furnished in Bond form shall be issued by a Surety Company or Corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said surety. When a check or letter of credit is used, the successful BIDDER(s) shall be required to furnish a Contract Bond for payment and performance in a sum of not less than one hundred percent (100%) of the total contract amount. The bond shall be that of an approved surety company authorized to transact business in the State of Ohio and shall be underwritten by a surety that is listed on the most current Department of the Treasury Circular 570, Surety Companies Acceptable on Federal Bonds. Bidders must pay Prevailing Wage Rates for Wood County, Ohio. Each proposal must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the proposal and all persons interested therein. Each bidder must submit evidence of its experiences on projects of similar size and complexity. No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of sixty (60) days after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids. The Village of Luckey reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bids received, and to accept any bid that it deems most favorable.
