Denning Elementary School Improvements - Phase 1

Base Bid Abatement work to include: abatement and removal of existing vct flooring and mastic, and abatement of existing door sealant and removal of door frames. Alternate Bid #1 Abatement work to include: abatement and removal of existing vct flooring and mastic, and abatement of existing door sealant and removal of door frames, removal of existing soffit panel, removal of existing vermiculate in wall cavity and partial demolition of wall to create new door opening. Base Bid General demolition work to include: disconnecting and abandoning in place the existing classroom unit ventilators, demolition of existing roof assemblies, portions of existing tectum roof deck, existing gutters, downspouts, plastic fascia, existing lay-in and gypsum ceilings in portions of the school, existing ceiling mounted light fixtures in portions of the school, and existing sidewalks. Base Bid General new work to include: new mechanical roof curbs, new packaged heating and cooling units, new water source heat pumps, new DDC controls, new gas service and piping, new TPO roof assemblies, roof ladders, gutters, downspouts, scuppers & conductor heads, metal wall panels, aluminum signage, vinyl signage, underground storm sewer connections, chain-link fencing, bollards, new LED light fixtures, new ACT ceilings, aluminum doors and frames, new metal stud and gypsum wall board bulkheads and soffits, and CMU & gypsum wall board painting as shown in the Construction Documents. Corresponding structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing work will be included. Alternate Bid #1 General work to include: the partial or complete demolition of interior CMU and stud walls, concrete sidewalk, new concrete floor slab and foundations, new VCT flooring and wall base, new metal stud and gypsum walls, new casework, new reception desk, new hollow metal frames, new wood doors, new masonry wall construction, new ACT ceilings, new LED light fixtures, CMU & gypsum wall board painting, new aluminum doors and frames, and new TPO roof assemblies as shown in the Construction Documents. Corresponding structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing work will be included. Alternate Bid #2 General work to include: demolition of remaining existing ACT ceilings and light fixtures throughout the school, not included under Base Bid, installation of new ACT ceilings and LED light fixtures throughout new ceiling areas, as shown in the Construction Documents. Corresponding mechanical, electrical, and plumbing work will be included.
