Description

The purpose of this CDBG Project is to refurbish or replace old deteriorating infrastructure including sewer, water, streets and drainage systems. The areas of concern are the low- moderate income residential areas in the original central City of Alma. The original central City of Alma had public sewers, water, and streets built between the late 1940`s to about 1960, in a span of 30 years. These public facilities have exceeded their design life of 50 years and are failing at an increasing rate each year. The sanitary sewer collection system is the system of greatest concern.
