Description | Salem-Keizer Public Schools will select qualified contractors to perform General Contractor services. The successful firm will be prequalified to bid on projects with an estimated value less than $5 million dollars. The District will prepare a list based on the results of this solicitation. Annually, the district will create an opportunity for new entrants to be considered for addition. This is a new prequalification. All interested firms must respond to this solicitation to be considered for inclusion on the list, unless deemed qualified under RFP 450. Salem-Keizer School District promotes the utilization of minority-owned, women-owned and emerging small businesses (MWESB) as contractors and sub-contractors to promote inclusion and a sustained, vibrant local economy. The District encourages MWESB firms to become State certified and for Prime Contractors to utilize MWESB subcontractors. Salem-Keizer School District will not tolerate racism, discrimination, harassment, prejudice, or hatred in any form, subtle or obvious. During the performance of this Contract, the Contractor shall fully comply with all applicable laws prohibiting discrimination. Check the box to confirm you will comply. The bidder certifies that it does not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, financial ability, age or other non-job related factors as per ORS 659 and 42 2000e. The Salem-Keizer School District reserves the right to reject any and/or all Qualification, to cancel and/or amend the solicitation, and/or to waive any informality if there is good cause and/or if doing so would be in the public interest. The Salem-Keizer School District reserves the right to seek clarifications of each Qualification from respondents and other relevant sources. The cost of preparation of the Qualifications and any related expenses, including travel, shall be entirely the responsibility of the respondent. The primary contact person at the District for this solicitation is Jacob Clotfelter. All District related questions regarding the selection process are to be directed only to this individual. Respondents are advised that contact with other District individuals regarding this project without clearance with the primary contact may lead to disqualification from the selection process. The Salem-Keizer School District reserves the right to publicly bid any project that Salem-Keizer School District believes would be in the public interest. The Salem-Keizer School District will review the list of selected contractors annually. The Salem-Keizer School District reserves the right to seek new contractors annually, if selecting additional contractors, is in the best interest of Salem-Keizer School District. |
