Description Project includes the construction of approximately 1,300 feet of 60-inch-diameter steel cased 36-inch-diameter ductile iron gravity sewer pipe using microtunneling methods. The 55-foot-deep primary tunnel launching shaft and approximately 1,000 feet of the microtunneling will be completed in the jointed Gneiss bedrock below the groundwater table. The primary tunneling shaft is located approximately 100 feet from the traveled lanes of Athens Perimeter Loop (US Route 129/State Route 10 Loop) and approximately 150 feet from multiple occupied ACC PUD facilities.
