Trans Systems Mgmt and Operations Consultant

Provide a wide range of engineering and planning services to include technical, management and supportive tasks for the Department’s Transportation Systems Management & Operations (TSM&O) Program. The Consultant will provide a wide variety of Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) services that include but are not limited to: transportation statistics, architecture, standards, deployment, ITS design, integration, operations, maintenance, telecommunications, mainstreaming, traveler information, emergency response functions, GIS, training and multimodal systems. The Consultant may be called upon to provide ITS construction engineering, and inspection (CEI) activities to support District and Central Office deployments of TSM&O. A principal task of the Consultant will be to assist the Department’s TSM&O Manager and/or TSM&O Design Professional in support of TSM&O deployments statewide. The Consultant may be called upon to prepare design/bid documents for the various procurement methods supported by the Department to facilitate the deployment and integration of TSM&O in Florida. The Consultant will work closely with the Department’s District level TSM&O personnel and the Department’s Telecommunications General Consultant.
