Reference Number 0000332034 The City of Warren is seeking electronic bids from qualified contractors to remove existing ceiling grid, tiles, and light fixtures, and to install new ceiling grid, tiles, and light fixtures, on the second floor of the Warren Police HQ, per the bid form and specification. Vendors must submit their bids electronically via the Bidnet (MITN) system in order to be considered for award. Vendors must also attend the mandatory pre-bid meeting. See bid form for details. General Requirements - FOB Destination - Installation Required - Insurance Required - Warranty Information Required The Contractor shall provide all supervision, contingencies, labor, equipment, supplies, tools, materials, services, and cleanup needed to complete the following: Remove the existing ALLUMINUM SLAT CEILING, 6" X 4' light fixtures, and all mounting hardware in the ceiling of the lighted area in the mausoleum. Please note: The hallway off the mausoleum does not require the removal of existing ceiling. The ceiling will be hung at the height of the top of the wall and three (3) LED troffer lights will replace the existing lights that are currently in place. Relocate existing speakers; Relocate existing signage, including exit signs; Furnish, install and update HVAC return and supply diffusers (2x2); Furnish and install a new drop ceiling grid work system, CertainTeed Ceilings Baroque Customline BQCL-224 "No Substitutes" and install new LED troffer lights to replace all lights removed (approximately 18 fixtures). Conform to all state, local codes, and regulations governing the trades included in this work, including securing applicable permits. Furnish and install new CertainTeed Suspension System, 15/16" Classic Aluminum Capped Stab System (Color: White). Furnish and install new 2'x2' (qty. 3) and 2'x4' (qty. 14) LED troffer fixtures. The light fixtures are to be 3360 Lumens - 30 Watt - 5000 Kelvin - 2'x4' LED edge to edge flat Panel Fixtures 3- 2'x2' LED for the Hallway. Layout the new drop ceiling grid system in a manner that will center the grid, or tiles, keeping a clean and even look, making sure the tiles along the walls are equal in measurement. Install the grid system with manufacturer recommended hangers and fasteners, and install the proper amount of hanger supports to properly suspend the ceiling per manufacturer recommendation. Hangers and fasteners shall be installed in a manner as not to hinder the accessibility of light fixtures. The awarded vendor shall be responsible for properly suspending, per code, all existing low voltage wiring/cabling (telephone, cable, network, etc.) and all new low voltage wiring/cabling. The awarded vendor shall be responsible for furnishing and installing 2' x 2' diffusers for the air supply and air returns throughout the project area. (aprox. 10 of each) Scissor lifts and/or scaffold shall be used. Scissor lifts must fit through a standard 36" door and can be brought in through the Lobby Doors. Repairing any damage that is done to any area during the project. The City will not be liable for damage to property due to the Contractor's negligence. Employees of the Contractor shall not disturb the normal operations of the buildings under these specifications.
