Historic 1914 Courthouse Preservation Architect Services

The Preservation Architect or Architectural firm to be selected is to provide contract related architectural services for Nueces County, including, but not limited to, the following: 1. All preliminary and final design plans and specifications for temporary repairs and/or stabilization of the courthouse. The project intent is to address conditions that contribute to the deterioration of the building such as water entry, insufficient attachment of the masonry veneer, unauthorized access, etc. The plans should be developed in accordance with the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards for Preservation and submitted for review and approval by the Texas Historical Commission and the National Park Service; 2. Coordination with structural engineer providing services under a separate contract to incorporate a limited scope of structural work into the final plans and specifications and associated cost estimate. 3. Other special services deemed necessary to the project.
