Description

For Little Valley County Center Accessibility Improvements - General Construction All bids must be sealed and clearly marked as follows: (Any bid not clearly marked will not be considered.) Little Valley County Center Accessibility Improvements: comprised of the following bid(s). Each contract being bid MUST be submitted in a separate envelope. BID NO. 65GC - General Construction Upgrades to the facility for ADA compliance include the following: hazardous material abatement, replacement and reconfiguration of toilet partitions and accessories, removal of toilet room plumbing fixtures and repositioning of plumbing fixtures, replace existing drinking fountains, replacing doors with handicap accessible doors and operators, replace hardware on doors to level action handles and common lock and key system, replace reception counters with new compliant height counters; and includes other Work indicated in the Contract documents. Final Request for Information shall be 1:00 P.M., Tuesday, January 10, 2023. Final addendum shall be issued Thursday, January 12, 2023 at 3:00 P.M. All questions and RFIs to be directed to Nancy DeLoatch at ndeloatch@wendelcompanies.com or 716-688-0766, ext. 4506. Cattaraugus County Local Law 12-2012 as amended by Local Law 5-2015 requires that the County provide a copy of the Cattaraugus County Vendor Responsibility Form to the low bidder. The low bidder will have 5 business days to return the completed form unless the form was mailed by the county to the vendor, in which case they will have 10 business days from the date of the mailing to return the form. Failure by the low bidder to submit the form within the above time frame will lead to the automatic rejection of their bid. The contractor must also ensure that all subcontractors to be used on the project complete this form and submit it to the County for approval within 5 days of the preconstruction meeting. Failure to do so may lead to the rejection of the subcontractor at the Countys discretion. Currently the Commissioner of Public Works has approved the CCA-2 (New York State Vendor Responsibility Questionnaire For-Profit Construction) with attachments A, B, and C to serve as the Cattaraugus County Vendor Responsibility Form. The full deposit, according to General Municipal Law, less any postage costs, will be refunded for complete sets with no missing pages, returned in good condition (NOT MARKED IN OR WRITTEN IN) within 30 days of the award of contract. No refunds will be made for sets returned later than 30 days of the award of contract. All bids must be sent or delivered to Cattaraugus County Department of Public Works, 8810 Route 242, Little Valley, NY 14755. Attention: Dawn Smith. All bids must be accompanied by a NON-COLLUSIVE BIDDING CERTIFICATE and Bid Bond in the amount of 5% of bid total. All substitutions are to be submitted at time of bid as per the contract documents. No substitutions will be considered after the bid date. Any bid submitted without such certification and bid bond will not be accepted. Any bid not meeting ALL specifications will not be considered. Cattaraugus County reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informalities, and to accept the lowest responsible bid.
