Professional Consulting and Engineering Services to Facilitate Research and Development of Consumptive Water Reducing Technologies for Cooling Systems at Partnering Properties Served by Member Water Purveyors

Professional services agreement to facilitate case studies with non-single-family residential (Non-SFR) customers willing to implement technologies that reduce consumptive water losses associated with cooling operations, the most notable of these being evaporation. This includes: 1. Identifying viable technologies in conjunction with pertinent parties including the Authority. Some potential technologies have been preidentified, but the selected firm(s) is expected to contribute input as well. 2. Recruiting Non-SFR customers for participation. 3. Evaluating suitability of technologies for partnering customers. The Authority is willing to consider both retrofit and new installation opportunities for reducing consumptive water losses. 4. Estimating consumptive water savings and energy use of proposed projects. 5. Specifying technologies properly and providing consulting and/or installation assistance to participating properties. 6. Monitoring installations at startup. 7. Documenting successful installations and water savings from these projects in briefs to assist the Authority in evaluating technologies for further support. 8. Lending credibility to this initiative and supporting the Authority’s goal of reducing consumptive water losses related to operation of cooling systems.
