Description | The Town of Palm Beach, Florida ("the Town"), is hereby requesting proposals from qualified firms to furnish all labor, management, materials, and equipment to provide Worth Avenue Living Wall Maintenance services for the 'green living wall' located at 150 Worth Avenue (Park Easement), to keep the wall in an excellent condition and appearance. The Living Wall measures approximately 30' by 40', and was constructed as part of the Worth Avenue streetscape improvement project in 2010. The Living Wall is a unique landscaping element and represents a significant investment by The Garden Club of Palm Beach. It is very sensitive and proper maintenance is essential to its survival. The original design, which shall remain the same, must be maintained and every effort made to keep all future and present plant materials in optimum condition. Failure to do so results in exposed support and irrigation systems, which detract from the overall appearance of the Wall. The maintenance work includes: monitoring of plants and irrigation system, the application of fertilizer and pesticide, pruning, trimming and plant care and replacement (as necessary). The Town requires that a bi-weekly, every other Tuesday, schedule be established, approved by the Contract Coordinator, and followed by the awarded successful contractor. The successful Contractor shall provide all necessary materials, labor, management, supervision, trucks, gas, oil, safety equipment, a lift, and any other materials and equipment necessary to complete the work as specified. After the award, no extra charge or compensation will be allowed as a result of failure to attend the conference and/or any resulting site visit. The Town reserves the right to accept or reject any and all proposals and to waive any technicalities or irregularities therein. The Town further reserves the right to award the contract to that proposer whose proposal best complies with the RFP specifications. No proposer may withdraw their proposals for a period of one hundred and eighty (120) days from the date set for the opening thereof.
