Description | On-Call Storm Maintenance Services, for the purpose of this RFQ includes the clearing, removal and disposal of debris of any type, the placement and installation of products to prevent erosion and/or displacement of sediment onto County roads and into District flood control facilities, and snow removal services. In the event of emergencies, rapid mobilization and performance of the work described herein is required. By its execution of this Contract, Contractor certifies that it is aware of the requirements of California Labor Code Sections 1720 et seq. and 1770 et seq. as well as California Code of Regulations, Title 8, Section 16000 et seq. (Prevailing Wage Laws), which require the payment of prevailing wage rates and the performance of other requirements on certain public works and maintenance projects. Section 1720 of the California Labor Code states in part: For purposes of this paragraph, construction’ includes work performed during the design and preconstruction phases of construction including, but not limited to, inspection and land surveying work.If the Services/Scope of Work are being performed as part of an applicable public works or maintenance project, as defined by the Prevailing Wage Laws, and if the total compensation is $1,000 or more, Contractor agrees to fully comply with such Prevailing Wage Laws The County and District reserve the right to change any of these dates. Any changes will be communicated in writing. Proposals will be accepted continuously from the RFQ release date to March 24, 2025; however, contracts will be awarded on a semi-annual basis. For all projects over $25,000, file a payment bond with and approved by the County Director or County Interim Director and/or District Chief Flood Control Engineer or District Interim Chief Flood Control Engineer, or their designees, in accordance with Civil Code section 3247, in a penal sum equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price.File a performance bond as directed by the County Director or County Interim Director and/or District Chief Flood Control Engineer or District Interim Chief Flood Control Engineer, or their designees , in the Request for Bid in a penal sum equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price.
